I also think a monoprice 12" which you can get for $150 or less (I paid $90) is a superior option. This Klipsch is boomy, muddy and uneven. It is no good for music, and for home theater it is barely acceptable. There are way better options for the same money. Mine also doesn't shut off anymore, so I have to unplug it when not in use.
