Offer Terms:
Registered Hilton Honors members will earn Double Points for stays during the Promotion period. "Double Points" means members will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base Points earned during a stay. Members will earn an additional 1,000 Bonus Points each time they stay at a new brand within the Hilton portfolio during the Promotion period.
Registered members checking in before January 1, 2023, will receive credit for their stay if the stay is completed on or after January 1, 2023, and prior to or on April 30, 2023. If you start a stay in the middle of the promotion period and check-out after April 30, 2023, you will not receive the bonus.
Also, until the end of this year, you can buy points and get 100% bonus on their website. If you buy 40k points, they give you another 40k points. Ii think the maximum right now is 160k points and you get another 160k points for 320k points total.
This is handy if you're planning to use all points for a 5 day stay, they have a promotion that the fifth day is free. Only costing four days worth of points. We were missing 80k points and buying the points was less than paying the difference out of pocket.
It was about 400 for the points, but would have been $700 (plus tax) if we did the points + cash option. So in our case this was a pretty great savings plus a bonus night.

I don't understand Hilton… even with double points I pay 160 when I can just pay for the room upfront for 140
Yeah it doesn't make sense unless you're going to use the points to book a 5 night stay and you get the 5th night free. Also resort fees are waived when you use points for Hilton; unfortunately Marriott still charges resort fees even when you use points.
Thanks for posting. I used to travel a lot for work and now I don't travel at all for work. I miss having the higher tier status for free breakfast. We used to travel for personal and get the free breakfast, now when I travel for personal I bring breakfast with me

When I clicked through that link, logged in as a Hilton Gold member, the promotion was "Buy 5,000+ points and get 90% additional as a bonus. It was not a 100% match. If taking advantage of the 5th day with points promotion it would still be worth it in my test scenario at a site I'm eyeing, but not by a lot.

Do you know if I am already Diamond, will the points be doubled from the base or from the Diamond amount?

Been using the promo since travel for my work picked up in the 3rd and 4th Qtrs this year and will continue into the 1st and 2nd of 2023.
Also helps when I'm a Diamond member (thanks Aspire card!).
Killing it on points.

Yes these reminders are very helpful for those of us who travel for work
Haha, I understand that. Transfer them to someone you know that can use them! Or gift someone status. Happy holidays!
