Just a heads up, I believe it's been discussed before. When you order an i7, you actually may get an i6, i7, or i8...
I got an i6 Frown

They're all the same, the different name is for who sold it.

Important information:

What iRobot models are used in the refurbishment of the i7 series?

In our refurbishment process, we use the i6, i7, and i8 vacuum cases "shells" in the refurbishment of our i7 series products. All i6, i7, and i8 vacuums that are refurbished are rebranded as an i7 series refurbished product vs having 3 separate eBay listings for the exact same product.

The original difference between these 3 models was only when sold as new at retailers, as when they were new they included extra accessories which made the models cost different prices. When sold as Certified Refurbished, all the vacuums come with the exact same accessories in the listing, therefore all vacuums are identical in specifications.

The functionality and vacuum features on the product between i6, i7, and i8 are the exact same.

Didn't think Roomba has any Lidar models. The J7, i7, or s9 lines are all camera/vslam navigation as far as I know.

That's been nice to fit under a couch of certain height, but also the navigation isn't nearly as good as the Roborock we have. The J7 has been pretty great on carpet and lower profile, but there are tradeoffs on all models/brands

I would think the worst thing to get refurbished would be a vacuum cleaner. Maybe more so a normal one and not as much this. The 1st thing to go probably would be the battery. Then how far can it go after that? I don't know if they sell extra batteries or if they are replaceable but if they do they probably make a deal like this redundant.
Why comment if you don't know wtf you're even talking about concerning the product in question?

Because it runs on a lithium battery. That much is obvious. And that is what I commented about - not the specifics of the vacuum.

i would not recommend an iRobot Roomba to my worse enemy, worst vacuum I ever owned, nothing but issues, died less than 2 years for a $600 vacuum.

Sorry I'll edit that, that was rude. But it's a lithium battery, all lithium batteries in these types of devices are replaceable.

The only place I'd buy this thing at is on Ebay if it came with a 2 year warranty because iRobot vacs tend to go to crap and are expensive to replace the parts, I don't care what they say about "all the parts being repairable". I had a $600 i7 go to crap in less than 2 years (multiple times, but it got to the point it wasn't worth it to repair it; I just bought a better, cheaper Lidar vac), I'll never buy one again.

Had the same experience. I think our first 3 robot vacuums were all irobots.

All died within 2 years and were run several days a week but not every day. I finally gave up on the company and started searching around.

Neato was a major disappointment. Loud, didn't clean well, and too thick to fit under things.

Bought an off brand name off Amazon with good reviews and it didn't last.

Most recently went with a eufy from Walmart. No fancy bells and whistles just the base model. By far the thinnest robot vacuum we've owned which is good and bad. Good because it cleans under our coffee table (low clearance). Bad because it goes under my mother in laws stove. Problem with these things, they can get stuck if the run over something or the battery dies. The eufy has survived the best out of all of them. It has fallen down stairs a couple times after the sensors were probably blocked (also happened with the irobot) and it amazingly kept running after the tumble. At 1/3 the price of an irobot, I'll gladly buy a new one when it kicks the bucket.

The eufy will paint a tapestry with dog poop. Ask me how I know. I cleaned it up and 2 years later it's still going strong.

That iRobot in question smeared my whole farking house with poop on numerous occasions. I'd spend whole Saturdays scrubbing the floors and carpet cleaning the huge living room area. Got so tired of that. Supposedly, IRobot has some type of Pet Sh!t guarantee, but I'll never give them a penny to test them on it.

For backstory, I had a cat that pooped or caused one of my cats to poop outside the litter box. I don't know and don't care which one was doing it. I no longer have the cat in question: I gave him to my daughter because her female cat she couldn't take to college and I got attached and that female cat hated that male cat so much it was causing the issues.
