Owning both; I have to disagree. The single burner (even having multiple) is far more versatile than a 2 burner Coleman style camp stove. It is almost impossible to find 2 pans or pots that will fit together and use simultaneously on a Coleman 2 burner stove, and if you want to utilize the wind screen you'll need something around 6" in diameter or smaller.

This one was very useful to have and cook in the garage during TX blackouts.
Getting another as my previous served well for the last 4 years.

Sam's has butane in bulk for less as well.

If you are cooking indoors, butane is much safer than propane.

you'll need to buy those aluminum set ups for it or have some form of cast iron plate for korean bbq. I've used similar for hot pot.

This was also FP for the same price last year this time.

Yeah I have been checking out the Iwatani korean grill top but I don't know if this is enough or buy their own Iwatani butane stove which is more than double of the price of the coleman.

It looks like the plate you're looking at is $36 + this would still be less than the one by Iwatani. And this one can be used for more purposes.

unless you only need one burner for some reason or to use butane, the target coleman dual burner 2x10K propane stove that is $29 right now at target is a much better deal and more powerful

Was just about to mention that. Lol. Found the two burner version on sale at target yesterday while I was buying some propane cylinders after picking up a like new, used two burner version at goodwill for the same price as this single burner version.

A friend used this while camping. I didn't think the flame adjustment offered much control. Pretty much keep warm or full heat.

I prefer the old white gas stoves, which seem to have much better flame control. They do require a little bit of maintenance, but they last forever if you care for them.

I bought a butane torch off Amazon specifically to reverse sear steaks but been pretty disappointed. Have a cast iron pan (big) that I could use with this - my electric stove doesn't get it hit enough/fast enough for meat sear. Would this work better than butane torch or mostly the same?

FYI - This uses 8.8 oz butane can and does not work with the 8 oz butane can which is more common in the grocery stores.

I'd go with something that uses the 1lb propane tanks that can be had for $5 and last twice maybe thrice as long. I overheard someone say that he refills his 1lb LPG tanks for less than a dollar.

You're not going to get enough heat on a cast iron for searing steaks with this.

What do you recommend for that?
