I'd recommend spending the extra money on the X-lock 18v version or waiting for it to go on sale. Especially if you're already invested in the 18v Makita line. The quick wheel change and no wires convenience make the time saved well worth the extra money.

X-lock system is expensive and proprietary

Big pass. This tool is for getting work done. Skip the batteries except for light work with a 4 1/2".

This is a great deal.

My bad, Even though it's right in the title. I didn't realize this was a 7" Angle Grinder. Looks to be a whole different beast ! That being said, my 4 1/2" / 5" X-lock angle grinder has come in pretty handy. I've used it on concrete, tile, brick, copper, and metal. I think I picked up from a previous deal post on SD.

I really enjoy my X-lock grinder. I'm a welding student and have been using it daily for the past year.

Protip: Bosch also makes X-lock products including wheels.
