Tesla is offering certain customers a $7,500 discount and 10,000 Supercharger credits if they take delivery of a Model 3 or Model Y by 12/31/2022. Check your text message; here is an example.
Yesterday, I posted about how the Model 3 RWD and Model Y will qualify for the full Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) $7,500 if you take delivery in January or February 2023 (of course, if Tesla runs promotions or drop prices in early 2023, there could be better savings then). This is better in several major ways:

Yesterday, I posted about how the Model 3 RWD and Model Y will qualify for the full Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) $7,500 if you take delivery in January or February 2023 (of course, if Tesla runs promotions or drop prices in early 2023, there could be better savings then). This is better in several major ways:
- Lower sales tax because this is a discount, not a tax credit
- You get the discount immediately, instead of having to wait until 2024 when you file taxes for 2023
- You get 10,000 Supercharger credits, which is valued at between $500 and $900
- If you're financing, you don't have to pay interest on the $7,500
- (For some people) If you didn't qualify for the tax credit due to being over the income limit, you don't have to worry about that at all
- 12/29/2022 UPDATE: IRS published its list [irs.gov], and some vehicles will not qualify for the tax credit that starts in 2023; of note, Model Y 5-Seat does not qualify because it passes the $55,000 limit, whereas the Model Y 7-Seat does qualify because it is below the $80,000 limit.
- 01/04/2022 UPDATE: The 10,000 Supercharger miles (which is actually 4,000 kWH) have been added to the Tesla App. Check Settings > Loot Box.

Actually, no, they're not.
The lowest probability of injury of any car ever tested is very much Tesla specific.
Sentry and dog modes are Tesla specific.
OTA updates are Tesla specific (well, VW is allegedly finally getting it this month, but certainly not the Bolt that was being compared, and VWs will still be few and far between in comparison)
The supercharging network (in the US anyway) is still Tesla specific... it's true they may open it up soon, but the bolt, since that was the comparison car, won't get much use of it even then, being limited to MUCH slower max charge no matter how fast a source you plug into it... (like 4-6 times slower max than most Teslas for example).
The legroom and storage bits are somewhat more YMMV... for example again the Bolt DOES NOT HAVE front storage.... or an even worse example that's also expensive- BMWs i4 does NOT have front storage and does NOT have the typical amount of EV interior space a Tesla does, because they converted it from a gas platform and their engineering is kinda crap (so they still have a transmission tunnel despite having no transmission, and need the under-hood space for parts since they're so inefficient and heavy in design of the EV systems).

The 22 Bolt has a GM $6k instant rebate to bring it down to $26.5.

And a base Bolt (if you can find one) is not comparable to a Tesla M3SR+...I have a Bolt EUV Premier and it doesn't compare in any way except they're both electric.
But, if you can find a dealer selling a base Bolt at MSRP in January, then it's a great deal.
Anyways, for the people that really want to know about Tesla service centers, it really depends on the one you go to.
Yes, some of them take a week to fix things, and it's consistently long at these.
Some of them are faster than any other service center that exists. Like drop off your car around noon and get a call at the end of the day after some major repairs (because they prepare everything before your arrival, they diagnose remotely)
Sometimes they come to you to fix whatever you need, even weekends including Sundays. There is absolutely no car company that can match that.
Again, it depends on your local service center. Sometimes it's worth it to drive a little if you need service right away
But the mobile service itself is worth a lot for people that don't have time.
I personally would get something like an ioniq if it was a reasonably price. Until then, Tesla is still a viable option. There's a reason why you so more and more Teslas than any other car

A lot of demand was pushed back to 2023 because of the new credit, that's why they are offering $7,500 off to clear out inventory ahead of year's end.
However it looks like basically all the 3/Y are now sold out in US, so this offer was successful but it's also dead.
