Tesla is offering certain customers a $7,500 discount and 10,000 Supercharger credits if they take delivery of a Model 3 or Model Y by 12/31/2022. Check your text message; here is an example.
Yesterday, I posted about how the Model 3 RWD and Model Y will qualify for the full Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) $7,500 if you take delivery in January or February 2023 (of course, if Tesla runs promotions or drop prices in early 2023, there could be better savings then). This is better in several major ways:

Yesterday, I posted about how the Model 3 RWD and Model Y will qualify for the full Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) $7,500 if you take delivery in January or February 2023 (of course, if Tesla runs promotions or drop prices in early 2023, there could be better savings then). This is better in several major ways:
- Lower sales tax because this is a discount, not a tax credit
- You get the discount immediately, instead of having to wait until 2024 when you file taxes for 2023
- You get 10,000 Supercharger credits, which is valued at between $500 and $900
- If you're financing, you don't have to pay interest on the $7,500
- (For some people) If you didn't qualify for the tax credit due to being over the income limit, you don't have to worry about that at all
- 12/29/2022 UPDATE: IRS published its list [irs.gov], and some vehicles will not qualify for the tax credit that starts in 2023; of note, Model Y 5-Seat does not qualify because it passes the $55,000 limit, whereas the Model Y 7-Seat does qualify because it is below the $80,000 limit.
- 01/04/2022 UPDATE: The 10,000 Supercharger miles (which is actually 4,000 kWH) have been added to the Tesla App. Check Settings > Loot Box.

Radar cars can set max TACC/AP speed to 90 mph, and follow distance to 1.
Non-radar cars when they first came out could only do 75 mph, and distance of 3. They have improved this over time, finally getting to 85 and 2.... but still, about 1.5 years later, not back to equal to the radar cars.
Currently there's a major difference in the non-USS cars with multiple EAP/FSD features entirely unavailable-- it's unknown right now to what degree, or when, they'll be restored at all but if radar is any guide they won't be at parity for a long time if ever.
All that said- there's also the pretty well sourced rumor that starting in mid-January they'll have radar BACK on new cars-- which could potentially fix BOTH the speed/follow limits I mention, and easily replace the USS with even better functionality.... (and in theory that radar might be pretty easily retrofitted to existing vehicles, but that's more unknown than the fact new radar is coming at all)
Most of the other improvements you list are certainly valid, though one might wanna come with an asterisk-
The lowest probability of injury of any car ever tested is very much Tesla specific.
Sentry and dog modes are Tesla specific.
OTA updates are Tesla specific (well, VW is allegedly finally getting it this month, but certainly not the Bolt that was being compared, and VWs will still be few and far between in comparison)
The supercharging network (in the US anyway) is still Tesla specific... it's true they may open it up soon, but the bolt, since that was the comparison car, won't get much use of it even then, being limited to MUCH slower max charge no matter how fast a source you plug into it... (like 4-6 times slower max than most Teslas for example).
The legroom and storage bits are somewhat more YMMV... for example again the Bolt DOES NOT HAVE front storage.... or an even worse example that's also expensive- BMWs i4 does NOT have front storage and does NOT have the typical amount of EV interior space a Tesla does, because they converted it from a gas platform and their engineering is kinda crap (so they still have a transmission tunnel despite having no transmission, and need the under-hood space for parts since they're so inefficient and heavy in design of the EV systems).
- Sentry mode is not specific to Tesla. Other manufactures offer something similar (Drive Recorder in BMW)
- OTA is not specific to Tesla. Other manufacturers do offer OTA (although I will admit Tesla's updates seem to be more frequent)
- Dog Mode is just a fancy term for leaving your climate control on
- "Supercharging" isn't specific to Tesla. The supercharging network is - which is rumored to be available to other EV's in the near future, as you stated. There is already a pilot project for this going on.
The crash test ratings - you are correct on although some other EV's are still pretty up there.
You are doing the right thing, if it has defects, walk or have them give you another. They will give you BS about we will get that fixed. It takes months to get anything done with their service centers, depending on the location.

While that's true it provides more power, they also no longer supports data like the USB-A ports (and even the earlier build C ports) did- you just get ONE data port- in the glovebox. I'm using 3 different things via data USB ports in my car right now so that'd kinda suck for me... (256GB storage for FLAC music, 128GB storage for dashcam footage, and a wired game controller)
Accessories will be the same between 2022/2023.
