Cannot trust Lenovo with shipping dates.

Ordered a Yoga 9i right before Black Friday. Said in stock and everything. Next day status changed to "shipped". 2 weeks go by, no shipment updates or anything. 10+ calls later to Lenovo customer "support" and nobody knows where my computer is or what happened. Now it's out of stock. In short, their dates are garbage and not trustworthy in many cases. Terrible support as well from this company. My 2 cents.

I'm torn between this 2.2K screen on the Lenovo and the Elitebook I just ordered as well.

The Elitebook is 1920x1200 but has 400 nits. I'm a big fan of brightness but am concerned the Elitebook won't look as "sharp"?

Anyone have any thoughts?

I did the same. You're stuck with the EliteBook unless you want to pay HP's 15% restocking fee - and reportedly they charge it even if you refuse delivery or return unopened.

I went with the Elitebook. It's 100 more after tax but it's got so many better features and at 14 inches the screen is better brighter than a higher resolution anyway.

My current laptop (EliteBook 845 G8) is better-built than the ThinkBooks I've handled. I don't really need to upgrade, but the 16:10 display and FHD webcam will be nice to have. Sad that G9 does away with the pointing stick, though.

It was $200-220 more for the elitebook for me. I was comparing the 68xx/32GB models. I missed out on the elitebook. I thought of upgrading to 64GB, but I guess I'll just have to deal with the 14p 32GB. Couldn't decide of 400nits vs 300nits was worth the extra $.

When ThinkBook was first launched (Gen1), it was Intel only. Hence a difference in Gen number

Today my laptop status changed to "Waiting to be shipped" and the per item cancel button is gone. Few hours later I get an email:

LOL
My order ship date was Jan 17 before I cancelled the order. It's being manufactured and shipped directly from China. There's a national holiday (Lunar New Year) that starts 1/21 to 1/27 and businesses close shops for the entire duration + 5 days before that. If these orders don't get shipped out before Jan 16, pray hard.

That's interesting. Did you end up getting the Elitebook?
