The tech in these is quited dated. Not worth it imo. Better off going with the 255 or 955 at similar pricing and get the latest and better gps hardware , better heart rate and other sensors, better battery life and will get updates for many more years.
The 255/955 hardware is on par with the Fenix 7 which is the current generation.

I don't think the 255 has topo maps. The 955 costs quite a bit more than this.

Dated doesn't mean outclassed at the price.
I went for this over the 255M, since that's the closest at that price, due to the look and materials, battery life (just as good), quick fit, and the fact they're still pushing updates. Add the HRM plus for $100 and you close some feature gaps as well.
Switched from a Fitbit versa 2 that died just after two years. Wanted to switch to something longer lasting. Already loving the detailed metrics you get included with just buying the watch. No premium monthly subscription needed, unlike Fitbit!

Is 255/955 touch screeen? I like fenix but, I need a touch screen for my usage.
This is a great comparison page of the Fenix 6 models and features.
Be aware that Buydig sells models from the UK and the US. The UK models may have the same model number as the US version but are usually not the same watch in anyway for features, and often times the actual look. It's imperative you match the look of the watch to the model number to be sure they are actually advertising the correct model as in the US.
I was fooled by this a last week on a solar model which was supposed to be a pro model US version, but was not pro in the UK.
They used the US specs on the page, but the watch picture from the UK. It ended up being the inferior UK non-pro version.
It was a gift for my wife. She ended up not caring about losing the 32gb onboard ram, music features, no onboard maps, so she kept it.

All that said, I'll admit I snagged one at $250.
955 is as low as 375
