antonline is ok to post now? I tried to post a deal from them few months ago and had it removed because they were not a retialer aloud to be on the site is what I got told. ooo looks like in nov they got allowed back. Thats great news. I got the x3d back during a 329.99 deal with game code and its been working amazing at -30 pbo all core with pbo tuner in windows. I reccomend doing at least -20 all core as it helps temps or maxium performance depending how you tune it.
They are okay to post when staff posts it, apparently. I've seen that happen with the seller previously as well.

Unless have AM4 motherboard already i5 13600KF cheaper at $279.99 and beats 5800x3d in almost every game. [youtube.com] can get Z690 for low as $130 now [newegg.com]
One review is not telling enough because i can cherry pick a reputable review that shows 5800x3d is better.

I currently have a 5900X + 4090 and have been considering getting the 5800X3D instead. Will I see a difference if I play mainly on a 34" 1440 ultrawide or will I be GPU bottlenecked.

Is this a good reputable seller? I've never bought anything from them.

depends what kind of settings your trying to push on ultra wide and what games. In some games where the x3d large cache doesn't help the 5900x will faster. but since you alreaady have a 5900x id say just stick with that and keep the cash towards a future cpu upgrade maybe on 8000th gen ryzen or something

There was a blog post made on Slickdeals a couple months back that mentioned AntOnline being reinstated and no longer a banned merchant/retailer.

100%. That's what I upgraded from. If you're gaming, it makes a big difference. I went from 128 FPS in Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1440p to 206. (Obviously results will vary from game to game)
It was worth $300 to upgrade from 3900x so you can play a 120FPS game at 200FPS?
FWIW: Most desktops are GPU limited.

Intel takes 15-20W more on average and the difference in average FPS is just 2-5 (Intel ahead is most games, but there are games where 5800x3d wins). I'd like to see 1% and 0.1% low FPS test (I don't give a damn about avg). Also to compare with Ryzen 7000 series.

I'd not upgrade, unless you play competitive multiplayer games and every fps counts. Some games are CPU bottlenecked even on cards like 3080 (not to mention 4090)..

But can it run The Witcher 3 update? Lol
Bought one just to play the new witcher update. Playing for a solid week now, just make sure to uncap the framerate. That helped me get rid of the constant crashing.

Looking to get a new processor or video card for Hogwart's Legacy release in Feb. I have an AMD 2700 and a GTX1070. Which would be the better upgrade, processor or video card?

If you are on the fence about a new build but want a slight upgrade for your Ryzen 5 3600/2070 Super, would you get a 5800X3D now for upgrade and then do the rest of my new build in a year to 16 months?

Or just wait and do it all then? I am ONLY into 1440 gaming on my 31.5 monitor and as along as I can get 60 FPS, I am cool
If you only need 60 fps at 1440 I wouldnt upgrade at all if you have a 2070 super and a Ryzen 3600. You'd have to be using ridiculous settings to struggle to maintain 60fps on pretty much any game.

As a drop-in gaming upgrade for a system that has an older Ryzen CPU, this is the best bang-for-the-buck you'll get. I've had the same motherboard since 2017 when Ryzen first launched and went from the 1700X to the 3700X and now the 5800X3D and the difference it night-and-day in terms of gaming performance. As far as productivity, it's maybe a little bit faster than the 3700X was, but you're stuck with the default clocks since AMD locked down any overclocking of the X3D. Just try to get some DDR4-3600 memory since this thing lives on faster memory. I'm sure DDR4-3200 would be OK also, but might cost you a small amount of performance. Just don't run your memory at the default 2133MHz. And if you are running your memory at default speeds on your current system, go in your bios and change it and you may find that you've been bottle-necking your current CPU and don't need to upgrade at all.

If you're not looking to upgrade your entire system and want to game at 1080p or 1440p over 100 fps but think your older Ryzen CPU is holding your GPU back, this is the best way to get the most of your GPU on an older platform. For anyone building a new system now, I'd leave AM4 alone unless you're getting an amazing deal on a motherboard and ram because it's not going to be getting updated any longer. You'll get 90% of the gaming performance and a lot better productivity out of AM5 or the (soon to also be obsolete) LGA1700 platform for around the same price as what you'd have paid to build a 5800X3D system from the ground up.

This is a great price for this CPU if you're planning to keep your old AM4 system running for a while longer, I paid $100 more and haven't regretted it at all.
