Series 8 barely better. Stainless is a solid upgrade over the aluminum model for many reasons.

This. I don't use the cellular feature and find value in the sapphire glass and option to buff out scratches. I know the deal is expired, but hopefully this helps someone on the fence between the different versions. I plan to keep this watch for 4+ years, (I just upgraded from a series 1 aluminum in October) so these two capabilities are big for me.

For those that got this, congratulations. It's one of the best prices I've come across for this version and less than I paid.

Just my $0.02. Ask me any questions you might have. My wife upgraded to the aluminum series 7 gps 45mm if you need comparisons.

Thanks op, able to get one to change my S7 aluminum green one, before that using S4 SS, and SS is the way to go!

I was thinking of getting one of these but ended up going with the Ultra. It's larger, yes, but the 2.5 day battery life is such a game changer. I do think this SS version looks awesome, though. I still have my S6, which I now use for sleep tracking.

I managed to order this at 450. Any thoughts if I am better off spending 230 more and try for open box ultra which were available on bestbuy or keep this one.

I think the stainless looks better then the Ultra, but that's me. In a professional corporate work environment, the stainless is much nicer.

What a bummer. Now Amazon is being a bitch about the return.
I have to hand the box to UPS whenever they decide to show up at my house. What a waste of time.

Has anyone received this thing as expected, brand new in a new box, etc? I have one sitting in a locker nearby but I'll just let it auto-cancel if it's likely to be a hassle. I'm not certain I even want it anyway.
