I think this is probably the best one of the single-battery units. It charges ANY of the 18V Ryobi batteries out there (even old NiCad ones), which not all of their chargers can do. Additionally, this charger is the only one I've seen that has different LEDs to indicate different conditions (battery temperature, bad cell, and charging status). Usually you get one LED which lights up in different colors and you have to figure out what each means.
All that to say that if you need a couple of batteries and could use a charger, this is the one the get. The only drawback I know of, is that's it's a fast charger. However, all of Ryobi's chargers claim to be fast chargers, which if you ask me, is just a ploy to wear out your batteries sooner so you'll have to buy new ones.
if i purchase 2 items form amazon and got a free shipping because the total was above $25, and if i return one item making the total sale below $25 (aka free shipping), did I break the law? NO. if i purchased an item from costco and used it all up and after 3 years want to return it, did i break the law? NO
people are operating within the guidelines of what the store has in place, is it ethical (that is up to each interpretation), is it breaking the law - NO.
things can be legal and yet not ethical, or ethical but illegal.
