I will say it is decent linkimal, good for this price. It talks about using words to express your feeling and we are riding on that.
If your kid is able to understand the words, it talks about feelings, days, counting and alphabets. Do note that it does not have motorized movement like penguin or sloth.
This things looks cute.

If you're interested in these, I'd say the panda is the best one since it's soft and stuffed animal like, so it's a lot better for a younger child and has a simple one-touch button. After that, any of the ones that only have one or two buttons are decent. Ours likes the penguin because it sways left and right while it talks/sings. The sloth does this too, but isn't very good at holding the kid's attention. The beaver is pretty simple too, and the kid loves it because it's pretty unique and does a lot of southern style music/song which is a lot different than the others.
The LeapFrog Scout is a much better toy.
Yes, the syncing technology is cool but I would have second thoughts on giving these to kids. Honestly, I don't like the default song they sing on wake. It's as though you paid to have your kid listen to an ad for their toy line brainwashing your kid for free everytime. Also the color song is kind of creepy, "it's a colorful world, and we're colorful friends, colorful, colorful, friends" It highlights "pink" which is not even one of the 7 prismatic colors (ROY G BIV). It just feels like more childhood indoctrination.
