It doesn't specifically call out to plug it in and test the TV for electrical issues, The rest is as you've described with unpacking and inspecting while the driver waits.
Fortunately, I'll be mounting mine in the 1st floor living room. Entry door and outlet are right there. If the driver grumbles, tell him it's the policy and you'll toss him an extra $20 for his time. You might even be able to negotiate a tip to get a hand bring it upstairs for you.
If he reuses to wait at all, let him know that you will need to mark the delivery form that the driver refused to wait while you inspected the TV. If you have a small WIFI camera, set it up to record the delivery.

I started at $2100, they came back with $2339. I countered with $2200. I'm not going any higher.
EDIT: Clicking the tracking number on BuyDig's website now redirects me to FedEx but FedEx does not recognize the number as valid.
When I check the order status on BuyDig's website, by putting in the order number and my zip code, it says order not found and to call customer service. When I call customer service, I get the message that nobody is available and for me to leave a message...the phone then hangs up on me.

Looks like we have a couple weeks to wait.
If your mount has an adjustable swing-arm, I would do some extra checking before because the swing-arm/extension limits for a 55" TV would likely not be the same for a 77"; regardless of weight. A large TV will likely be less stable on an arm intended for a smaller size.
