    SNL has been garbage since the late 90's.

    I miss MAD TV but it got less funny towards the end.

    that's because they tried to be politically correct towards the end. key & peele essentially took same show and made it as controversial as possible with focus on all issues that is uncomfortable, and now look at their success.

    I think every generation thinks SNL was better than what is currently on. I loved Adam Sandler and Chris Farley and that generation of actors. There's always talent... sometimes it takes several years to see a standout anymore.

    Anyone comment on the quality of these books? i loved MAD magazine but the last one i read was in the 1990's.

    Right there with you. And I bet it is way harder now since a lot of people younger than you and I can stream comedy from a way bigger pool of stuff now. Interesting phenomenon in any case

    Not true. Lots of people thingk SNL Sucks. Many eras were very bad and most of the other eras are hit and miss, mostly miss. The first years were the best, though largely irrelevant now.

    'Lots of people' say you are wrong. (see how that works?)

    Like someone else stated; 'Every generation thinks their SNL was the best.' Pretty darn accurate. You have people that think that Farley was king, others Eddie Murphy, and some who stopped watching after Land Shark and Bloodletting. There is another group who attributes to SNL what really occurred on SCTV then judges everything based on that.

    Next thing you'll be telling us 'the best music' was between certain years.
