I'm a longtime Nova Launcher Prime patron, and still use it on my S22 Ultra. They were acquired by the analytics company Branch earlier this year. Just wondering how much development will go into product improvement going forward and how much data they intend to collect about their users.

Dont buy this, its a trap. Nova sold to an analytics company. They want to data harvest you, launchers are very valuable and get a ton of info from you.
Use something like Pear Launcher instead that doesnt spy on you.
ALWAYS read up on app permissions and privacy policies before you install.

From searching SD, it looks like this has gone on sale for $1 every year in December.

Now, after being acquired by a data analytics company, it goes on sale for 50 cents.

Kinda makes a fella wonder.

I'd be curious to know what kind of data they have access to as a launcher. I tried searching at some point but couldn't find any good write ups.

I'm thinking about 86'ing nova.. Like the rest I've been using it for like a billion years. But at this point I'm pretty sure phones launchers are basically the same now ain't it? Like for Samsung I would imagine.

Been using Nova for at least 8 years. I always read about people complaining about updates changing factory launchers and always wonder why they don't use an aftermarket launcher. Makes switching phones painless especially if you switch brands. Just switched from a Sammy to a One+ and it fits like an old pair of jeans.

1) Can this be be used on much older versions of Nova launcher ?
2) Can this be used to auto launch a particular app on startup?

Basically I have a very old (over 5+ years) android device that I wan to make as a dedicated 1-app deviceā€¦ just turn it on and it launches the appā€¦

Would buying a license for this work?

Been using it for years! One UI 5 with nova prime is what im using right now! even with wife Pixel 7 pro I installed nova prime!
