I am not a doctor but I play one on the internet. Most people do not need to supplement with Vitamin A. If you have anything close to a normal diet the small amount you need will be attained from foods. Taking too much Vitamin A can be harmful.
Do not take vitamin A supplements unless you're deficient. It's very toxic to liver, it's not easy to get rid off either.
but but but... As a SD'er, paying the smallest money is the best deal. Vitamin A it is Cool

Wow, should come with a warning label. This form is not worth it for consumption. And dosage is high enough to leave little room for mistakes or personal differences in tolerance.

Maybe I can crush these and use them as a pesticide and overdose ants and other unwanted pests in the backyard. Cheaper than buying sprays.

Could you possibly explain, why The last paragraph of this says but in food it lowers your risk which kind of contradicts the whole article ? They don't really explain anything to why ?
Because the amounts of Vitamin A used in the studies were hilariously high daily doses, something you can't get from normal foods without blowing out your bowels.

And the vitamins on sale are fine if you take 2 softgels a week. By comparison, the one study was with participants who were taking the equivalent of 3 of these gels every day non-stop for four years.

- Vitamin A, D, E, K- these are fat soluble vitamins
-taking vitamin supplements that contain megadoses of vitamins A, D, E and K may lead to toxicity
Quote from Kookoobearlife :
Pharmacist here - can confirm that there is rarely a reason to supplement vitamin a. Abundant in many of our foods and being a fat soluble vitamin it can accumulate and be toxic to your liver if you take beyond recommended amounts. I'd stay clear from this unless your doctor has clearly instructed you to supplement.
How much would be too much? I'm taking the Costco multivitamin daily and it contains the followings. Would it be considered over the recommended amounts?

A - 750mcg, 83% of daily value
D - 25mcg, 125% of daily value
E - 22.5mcg, 150% of daily value
K - 30mcg, 25% of daily value
