FYI, this is the sale price literally every other month.

Costco swaps $150 off sales each month between Michelin and Bridgestone.

Inflation is insane. Got my last set at Costco in 2018 and it costs $300 more now for the same model.

Oh nice, no CrossClimate2s available for my car. Very cool.

I don't think Costco Tire has had tires in stock for any of my cars for the past 5 or so years, at least whenever I look.

Will probably end up going through Discount Tire anyway.
I finally decided to splurge a little and got the Cross Climate 2s and they're amazing.

Took them on a 1400 round trip journey from Southern California, to Arizona, to New Mexico and back. Handled the whole journey like a champ. Sunshine, rain, snow, dirt, extremely comfortable through it all.

they won't price match Costco on install it's always $5 more per tire

they also won't match the Costco warranty. they have their own where you can get a flat repair attempted but you won't get a new tire if your flat can't be fixed
best they can do is 2 year puncture warranty where Costco is way longer
Good to know, thanks. My local Discount Tire told me they match out the door price, including install, but I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't accurate. He didn't give me a clear answer when I asked about the tire installation fee.

Got 4 Michelin defender t&h 235/55/17 for $730 out the door at dt on black friday. 80k mile tire discontinued now. Good luck finding them. Since then found an extra $70 rebate so $660 in my case which was approved by Michelin. 7% sales tax here and normal install military discount. They have non pro rated warranty first year. Year two to five is pro rated based on 80k on this one.

I always buy the tires from Discount Tires. Is Costco is better and a good deal to buy the tires or wait for more better deal? I can wait 2 more months to replace my car tires.
Discount tire will match Costco call and get a quote from Costco and then call discount tire and ask to price match get the out the door tax price

Chiming in as a 4x4 owner - a lot of guys like the damage warranty. You can punch a hole in the tire off-roading and they'll replace it.
They just patched mine, but not replace

You have to factor out the time waiting at Costco for your frequent rotation n balancing services too. They take a long time like Walmart services because they want you to shop there while you wait. It all depends on if and how many Costco are in your neck of the woods. I'm from Northern California and I'm a commuter and so I have plenty of Americas tires in my neck of the woods. If I need emergency tire services like that one night where I ran a curb on a raining day n flatten my tires, I got the tow guy to towed me to the closest Americas tire shop n I got services first thing they opened up at 8am. Even on vacation trip to southern Cali, once I'm down there, I get them to check for leaks n nails before I head back up north. So the money you save could not replace the conveniences of the protection of your tire guy.

Pirella p4 90k threadwear which is higher than Michelin tires are on sale at discount/ Americas tires right now. Saved me $110 for a set of 4. Search for tires on slick deal n you might see a burried post thread that is not popular. Lol

Deal ends December 31st.

On recent same sale last month, I was able to get Mavis Tire to match price AND then I was able to get mail in rebate from Michelin. The second one got rejected initially, but I spoke to a rep at rebate center who said it was rejected cuz of price match, but did a one time waive!! 👍.

Similar. I also couldn't find Michelin X-ice snow for my Tesla Model Y, and have to buy through tire rack (who now merged with discount tires)

This must vary by location, I had a Costco tire guy recommended a lager tire for our Jeep Patriot. So glad he did made the ride seem so much better
Interesting. Is it an alternative size recommended by Jeep? Their site say that's their policy:

https://customerservice.costco.co...enter-faqs

When I called, they said it was a liability issue. Great if you can get them to do it. My car has an uncommon size that Cross Climate 2s don't come in.

My Discount Tire beat the Costco price out the door. The rep was very easy to work with, so I'd guess YMMV.

Which DT area are you at, if you don't mind to share. TiA
