I'm getting $19.49 without the Advil and free store pickup.

Nice find, relatively speaking. You rarely see an actual deal for Voltaren. Costco has a very good price, but in big tubes and you have to buy 12+ ounces, which you probably won't use up before expiration unless you use it every day.

Since the drug patent ran out, there is a generic available now (search for diclofenac sodium gel), which is starting to show up cheaper at places like Walmart, but if you like this 3.5 oz size, it's hard to beat 2 for $20.

Thanks for the info about a generic available now as I didn't know this. Me and My joints thanks you!

yes, that is an option, but with brutal winter weather right now for many and the cost in gas to drive to the store and back, not to mention finding stores with actual stock.

another $1 for a bottle of brand name ADVIL and ship to home seems worth the outlay.

Where do you go to get 2.2% to ship from Canada to the US?

Good point. I used to buy Voltarin every time I left the country. Now that's available here but I pick up the stronger stuff when I'm out of the country. Unfortunately the stronger stuff isn't cheap there either.

Separately, I checked out Amazon and found that lots of generic diclofenac sodium 1% gels have appeared since the last time I looked ...and many 100g tubes have been below $10 (including at least one from Salonpas [amazon.com] that's $9.92 right now but has been as low as $5.36).

Glad I checked. If you want 1% diclofenac gel and aren't in a hurry, I'd use one of the price tracking extensions to set an alert at some of these brands on Amazon.

Kirkland brand is really good too.
3x5.29oz for about $30 in store.

Sometimes it goes on sale too.

This stuff or the generic helps me... and I feel better using it than pills, since supposedly it's easier on the organs vs something like pain pills

I tried it pill form. It worked great at the beginning. Now, I'm not so sure.

I tried and can't get the US shipping address to work after adding to cart and trying to check out. Any pointers would be appreciated. (Is it a particular third party seller on Amazon.ca etc?)

Tip from doctor who prescribes it regularly….get rx for 3% gel. Then use GoodRx app to find it cheap (no insurance will pay for it)
