Been waiting several months for another great deal on the 1 year Tracfone refill card but it seems like Verizon just keeps disappointing their customers. I have been checking many places but Ebay still seems to offer the best deals: 1200/1200/3GB for $60 thru Tracfone ( 50% off the $125 price direct from Tracfone). But this still is far from the old $29 and $39 price before the takeover. But even at $60 it still beats all other providers for those of us who can control our data appetites. I have refilled many times with these Tracfone refill cards sold on Ebay and they have always worked. Never lost my carryover, just be sure to take a snapshot of what you have saved before refilling.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/285059189550

I was able to access the site to unlock smartphones from all Tracfone subsidiaries:
https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/w...BIS9nQSEh/
My service runs out Jan.14th 2023 and I wanted to get this done before adding a new service plan. It was a simple process, you provide your #, name, email, and IMEI, and they immediately email you 2 unlock codes - They are like 15 digits so type them correctly, hit submit, and it takes 20-30 secs. to be processed, and the page displays a Unlock Successful notice.

Like I wrote above, I have bought those phones and taken my # over to them. So I get more minutes and data on a new phone with my current #.

Explain what is difference doing this way? What is the advantage?
you get a new phone that has 5g. this is the second time i say this.

Highly recommend if anyone is considering these prepaid Sims that they read the previous threads on SD - there are several (TF first started selling them in 5/2019). The last 2 years have lots of complaints.

Never ordering from TracFone ebay again. Last time I ordered, no code, no nothing. Contacted, no response, and now going through resolution.

They don't come with a code, plan is supposed to be added to account when sim is activated - but like I said some of the Sims aren't actually preloaded.
TF usually doesn't respond to emails & eBay will refund within a few days. (I bought 2 of the flip phones which were missing parts & when TF didn't respond to my request for replacement eBay refunded the purchase - I got 2 yrs of service free).

I know. I can buy a brand new Tracfone 5G smartphone from HSN with minutes.

What is so great about this deal which is only a SIM card?

Their feedback ratings has dropped down to 94.4% on eBay.
It was bad before at about 96%.

I mistook you for another of the gushers like gone_camping and oregon14 who raved about this "great" deal.

Now, I see that you and I actually agree.

What? Who said this is a good deal?
Maybe you should re-read the thread!

I never said this was a good deal you need to pay more attention to what you're reading. If anything I discouraged people from assuming it would work -
I said to read the previous threads for more info because in the past it was a problem.
It was a deal when they were $20 & $30 but that was more than a year ago. Been $60 ever since so even if they are preloaded they're nothing new & not a "slickdeal".

I've done a number of these and it's been 50/50 if they actually had the minutes. I noticed the times it worked fine I used an imei that had never been used on Verizon before and the other times that it didn't work was an imei I had used on Verizon. Might just be coincidence. It's also pretty random if you'll get support to actually help you with the missing air time. A few of the empty ones support added the missing airtime without any fuss, others I had to fight them or just return to eBay and reorder.

Are you talking about an order of just airtime? Not the SIM in this thread?
Try going to:
https://ebay.tracfone.com/
and put in your order number in the field.

Best deal ever IMO. Got 10,000 rewards points each for a couple of them & got iphone, unlocked & sold for nice profit. TF loses $ on me.
Does one have to activate the phone/service as a new line to get 10K points? If I transfer my old number to the new phone to extend my service for one more year, I would not get 10K points, right?

Thank you.

Correct, only for new lines (with new number) - however the rewards bonus deal was supposed to end at end of year (it's been available since mid August). Was still showing online today & no one knows if offer was extended or they're just slow in taking it down.

Well, I have been using these eBay SIMs with loaded 1-year of airtime service + mins/txts/data for several years now with four different Tracfone lines that we have. But the last three I've gotten from eBay starting in July of this year did not have airtime plans loaded, at least according to Tracfone reps. They say that the "tracfonewireless" vendor in eBay is a third-party vendor, and not officially Tracfone. I do not necessarily believe this, but what seems to be clear is that the system is no longer functioning like it did before, unfortunately. The Tracfone reps said the only valid way to add airtime is through the tracfone.com website or via Tracfone cards you buy in big box stores, I think this is bunk, but it actually seems to be playing out in my experience, and no doubt it is due to the Verizon purchase.

Anyway, this sucks because for low quantity data users, these $30-$60 plans for yearly service were really convenient. But my kids are using more and more data nowadays--basically, forced to use it for school, where Wifi service should be free, but is not... So after 17-18 years on Tracfone, I am at about the point to migrate off. Yeah, I could go for the HSN/QVC deals and constantly transfer service around, and while I am supercheap and don't mind doing that for myself, it's a hassle to do with multiple phones whose owners (i.e., my kids) can't seem to last a minute without them. I might just move them over to that 12-month unlimited plan from Visible for $15/month.
