Unless the regular Evo+ series has compatibility issues with the Steam deck, or if the Steam deck improbably supports the propietary DDR208 standard that allows it to hit their marketed speeds (which I'm pretty sure it doesn't), you're paying more for 0 difference, since both max out UHS-I (104 MB/s).

This is mostly targeted at write speed dependent usage for stuff like Go Pros that don't support UHS-II or other faster standards. Games are read dependent.

Thanks - bought earlier this week so was able to get a partial refund. Great card for those with a 4K drone or Steam Deck

"Stunningly fast U3, Class10 rated read/write speeds up to 160/120MB/s², ³ let you shoot more photos faster and 4K videos look sharp with UHS I Interface.
²The foregoing read & write speed performance is based on testing of 512GB capacity under standard conditions. Actual speeds may vary depending upon card capacity."

I own this exact card and it's awesome card for the Steam Deck. The Steam Deck is picky about Micro SD Cards; crappy ones will be slow to load things obviously, but it can also slow down game performance like frame rate. Wish the 512gb was also on significant sale.

Why, when this one is cheaper?

I'm saying that their general sale price is lower?
If you need one right now, then yes, this is the better buy.
But if you wait for sale pricing on the Evo+, it generally goes below this price.

We also don't know what the person I replied to paid, and if at that time, he paid a premium for the Pro vs the Evo.

Also, keep in mind that if you want the higher than UHS-1 speeds, you need either a card reader that's compatible with DDR208, like Samsung's USB card reader, or another, like the Kingston or Sandisk's, to hit that. That's an additional cost, as I'm guessing most people don't own one.

It's fairly rare and aside from a handful of card readers that came out fairly recently, there are none that support it. There are all of about 0 consumer devices that support it natively as well.

Is this a good card to use on a digital camera (with an adapter) for taking photos and 4K video?
