I have a set of Utopia and I'm not a big fan personally. There are other cans I'd drop a couple thousand on before these.

But I'm not a huge fan of any Focal headphones.

In this range I'd favor the Verite Open or Closed or Meze Empyrean. To me the Utopia and LCD-5 are the two flagships that just aren't worth the price tag in comparison to other cans.

With that said I think something like the LCD-X is the sweet spot for price VS performance.

If you're not in the audiophile scene,
the replacement pads on these come out to $300 with tax.

You might want to replace every 6 months to a year or so depending on use.
