Pricing is currently normal TurboTax + $10. This should drop when the deal goes live on 12/28. Don't bother trying to buy it early.

Yes it's being delayed a year, there's an article abt it at irs.gov. However, it was only ever a reporting change; you've always owed taxes on PayPal/Venmo/etc business income whether it was $20K, $600, or $10. You owe the same taxes you've always owed, it'll just be a lot harder to cheat now (2023 tax year with delay)

Wtf. Why can't you use no rush rewards. I've been stacking mine up, hoping to use them for this deal. It will only work if you just get the download. Amazon is sneaky.

You get five free federal e-files with this, but will need to pay to e-file each state return, so in your case two.
Wait so this doesn't even include one state file? How much is a single state file then? If the $600 eBay isn't even a thing this year I'll just use the free file service I've always used then. Everyone was saying THIS time though we needed to wait on a 1099?

They removed that option a while ago. IIRC couldn't use no-rush rewards on last year's TurboTax sale, either.

A lot of us saved rewards for last year's TurboTax and we couldn't use them.

Same thing happened to me. I got it to work after removing from Cart and re-adding it. At the checkout page it I clicked on the Jan 3rd delivery option and it came up as free.
I am facing the same problem! I am NOT a Prime member and despite the order being over $25, I am being charged the $7.05 for shipping even for January 3rd delivery.

I tried removing the item from the cart and re-adding it, and it still comes up with $7.05 for January 3 delivery.

Any ideas of how to get the physical disc with free shipping?

UPDATE: I found a way to get free shipping on the physical disc and gift card.

Add the download version of TT to your cart along with the physical disc version. The cart should show the $7.05 credit. Choose the latest date for delivery shown. Delete the downloadable version of TT from the cart, leaving just the disc version. The $7.05 credit for free shipping should remain if you have the January 3 delivery date selected.

I was able to place the order then and get free shipping. Don't forget the extra percent off offer from AMEX if you use at least one penny's worth of AMEX points. For me, that took off an extra 15%.

Thanks,
Edgar

Get the download version without the $10 gift card and you can use no rush.

Honestly I prob just forgot. Because I did this same deal last year. Thanks, I'll figure out something else to use them on.

No-rush rewards still work on a non-bundled version (digital download without bundled $10 GC). https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BH5NRLP3/

Ordered the disk version. it was the only way to use $10 off credit from Chase. So my question is, if just say my disk drive doesn't work, can I just download the desktop software and put the activation key that came in the box? Or I have to use the disk for the activation key to work. Thanks
How do you get $10 off credit from Chase?

You get 5 free FED efiles but zero free state efiles, it does include one free state tax return.

So you either pay to efile state or you print/mail to state or if your state has free web efile then you copy the numbers and efile for free that way.

What's the difference between this and just doing it on the website? Any major drawbacks or essentially the same thing?
Turbotax online (web) is NOT the same as the desktop application.

The online deluxe version does not have the same coverage as the desktop deluxe version - they are not the same at all.

I've never used the online version but I've heard people complain that it will not do basic stocks transactions (schedule D) and you have to upgrade the online version for those.

No idea why Intuit makes it so confusing by having two versions both called Deluxe which are not in any way the same but that is the deal, I would steer clear of the online/web version if possible.

H&r Block fed/state is $32.97 with 20% back when using prime card. So comes to ~$26. Seems like a better deal.

Is there a way to get two states WITHOUT purchasing two colors of Deluxe?
