This is a ridiculous price practically any variable temp kettle, let alone a Bonavita. It's at the price point of those goofy models with multiple presets and no fine adjustment, and its so much better. This kettle hasn't been less than $70 in over a year now. The MSRP is now at the same price as the Stagg EKG which it simply can't compete with outside flow rate. I bought it for $55 back in early 2021, and for some reason the price for the entire category of variable temp electric kettles has bloated beyond recognition ever since. Specialty coffee and tea storefronts have never had it for particularly good prices, but you could reasonably expect to find it for $50-$60 most days. It hasn't been that way for a while. Until the last month or two, even the nastiest unpronounceable brand name specials with the electronics entirely in the handle are like $40.

The temperature control isn't quite as super precise as even mid-range random Chinese brand models like the Willsence or the Miroco, and the 1000 watt heater isn't particularly fast compared to the 1500w heater in high end stuff like the Oxo, but its also at least a decade older than those other models to my knowledge. It might even be older than that. However, this thing is built like a tank, vastly less thin and rattly on every level than the Chinese offerings (seriously every no name Stagg clone on Amazon or Walmart has the worst-feeling controls possible in the category), and all the buttons are beneath a plastic sheet so water can't damage the controls. Plus, the upside to not pulling 1500w from a single socket like the Oxo is that you won't trip a breaker if someone uses so much as a blender in the same general area as this one. And, frankly, it's at worst off by like 1C so for the vast majority of uses it's good enough.

If you happen to want or need an electric kettle for having boiling water on demand without having to be at a stove, forget the non-control flip switch stuff and get this. If you're starting to get into the world of manual coffee brewing (like Aeropress, french press, pourover, etc.) or you brew loose leaf tea, you can stop looking further with this model and I promise you will not miss a thing. If you're a hardcore hobbyist and super serious about pourover coffee specifically, you already know you want the Stagg EKG so none of this even matters, just go get that.

YMMV. Had a email from Woot with subject "Congratulations! You ignored us for so long, you've earned $10!" Email says"It's been longer than a YEAR since we last saw you! Here's $10 to buy your friendship back.Just use code OLDFRIEND10 and we'll forget we ever drifted apart!"
Worth a try, or a reminder to others who may have gotten the same email.

Great price. I paid $52 in 2017. These are ideal for pour over coffee because of it's ability to precisely set the temperature. I use this as my general use kettle as well. Ordering one as a back up.

Was considering one of these adjustable units. After seeing this deal I did a quick review search and this is a great unit at an amazing price. In for one. Thanks OP

This is an incredible deal. Bought this in 2020 for $50 but since inflation it's doubled to $100. Mine is still going strong but I might as well have a backup at this price. Considered one of the best for pour overs but still great for just boiling water.

I was holding out for a Stagg but at this price it's a no brainer. Waiting for it to be a decent time so I can send the link to my neighbor so he can get one too.

In for one, thanks! These are really great for pour overs / aeropress. Ours died after about 4 years of heavy use. Couldn't justify rebuying at $100 but after going back to crappy non-gooseneck for the past year, I've just been trying to remain patient.

Thanks op! My 7 year old bonavita Kettle has been acting weird when boiling so this is great timing. So much for the fellow ekg!
