I feel like this is only the display half of a modern KVM. What's use case for this without keyboard/mouse toggle?

Example: Apple TV out with this switch tied into a projector and a TV.

Because software like Barrier (FOSS) can handle the keyboard/mouse part better than a KVM switch.

Title says 2 in 1 out, description is 1 in, toggled 2 out. Not nearly as useful as a KVM.

edit: Never mind, works in either direction. I was wondering what kind of broken HDMI implementation wouldn't be bidirectional...

I use to do this for my PlayStation and Xbox between my monitor and TV but I found that HDR and VRR didn't work as well, so I just gave up switching between the two

Doesn't require an external power source. 1 less plug to squeeze into my surge protector.

Uses power from HDMI. These are also more likely to work than a full KVM switch. I don't know why, but they're just more compatible with various monitor set ups

In for two. Retro SNES and junk take up too many ports on cheap TVs.
