Stock is running low.

Keep in mind that Staub it's a quality product not made in China, but in France. You can save a considerable amount of money by buying Chinese made enameled cast iron.

Look at the extra cost as an insurance policy.

You're paying extra because if you go on the cheap, there's a good chance the enamel will chip off into your food. If you or your family/guest is choking on that enamel, you will be wishing you paid the extra money.

Then again some people have no issues with Chinese maybe enameled cast iron. But you take your chances.

You're also paying extra because you know the French are using a truly food safe enamel. With Chinese enamel it could have lead or worse. People think that's a stretch, but remember everybody, melamine was never ever supposed to be in dog food, but somehow the Chinese made it happen. Best to buy products from countries/cultures that share your values for human and animal life.
