Ive been waiting for this deal. $850 is a super sweet spot. I missed out. DAMN!! it sold out FAST!
That deal lasted an hr or so. Tried to buy it but was sold out during check out. It was the best deal this year by far. This one is no too bad. Smaller ssd but more ram. There's another ssd m.2 slot on the mobo. It's surprisingly roomie inside. Had it for 2 days. Only thing is psu is 460 so upgrade might be limited until psu is upgraded

Thank you. The link was for REFERENCE only! Thanks for the motherboard info, etc.. The previous deal seemed to be a very quick deal that lasted only an hour. My Costco had 9 left and being that this was 999.97 it means it's on clearance and won't be getting anymore - also an advantage to this one as opposed to the HP Apex deal recently- with almost same specs is that you don't pay tax on the original price..

I googled " Dell 0R6PCT" . what kind of motherboard is that ? i guess it's not Intel motherboard or MSI . Did Dell make them in house? oh lord. I'm good with all the specs except for the motherboard. I just want to be able to upgrade the CPU in the future.

Any chance they have these in store?
They did today at the one in Hawthorne, CA. Walked past it and noticed the *.97 ending.

Good specs, decent deal.

For anyone purchasing this, the 8940 was plagued with issues, which for me resulted in the mobo going bad just out of warranty. PSU didn't go bad surprisingly, but it's still non-standard and underpowered, but that didn't cause the mobo to take a crap.

Not trying to be a party pooper, just fair warning on the 8900 lines. The prior gen was a known ticking timebomb at the 1 year mark. I wouldn't be saying this if a quick search showed others experiencing the same problems.
My 8940 is out of warranty and still running just fine. I did upgrade the cpu cooler and added the fans in the front so that may be why.

That's great news. Hoping for your sake that you're one of the people who ends up repurposing it or donating it to continue it's life beyond what you used it for. Fingers crossed.

I'm not so sure it's related to thermal, as I never ran it anywhere close to dangerous sustained temps. Could simply be a faulty component that's given time just decides to grenade.

Snagged the last 2 of 3 at my local Costco while every other Costco around me was still at full price.

Ended up being $800.01 for the PC and $99.99 for the warranty.

Moreno Valley, CA but it was back in 12/06/22.

They still have the display one on the shelf, but they put it on top of the HP TE01-3197C for some reason.

I checked the Corona, Rancho Cucamonga, and Fontana at the time, they had plenty in stock but still full price.
