Probably swinging the dumbbells when doing bicep curls, thinking they're so cool because they're can do 3x as much weight as if they did slower controlled movement.

For the same price, you can also get the ProForm 12.5 Lbs. Adjustable Dumbbell Set with Storage Tray, Pair [walmart.com] which can be adjusted in 2.5-pound increments from 2.5 to 12.5 pounds.

Only according to the title of this thread and the Walmart page.

But according to the people crapping on this thread, there is absolutely no use for dumbbells under 50lbs unless you're a weak af person who doesn't want to work out, so this is a complete waste of money. Really great health and fitness advice here on Slickdeals.

Good deal. Amazon seems to have matched the price but says "usually ships in 1-2 months" LINK.

These seem ok, some plastic in the build, and only adjustable in 5 pound increments, but nice price @ $39 each.

Menards has them for $50 LINK [menards.com], I might make a trip just to inspect them in person.

Nice. I've had a single Reebok-branded one of these for years, and could never justify the $80 to make it a pair. For $40, I'm in. I'll have biceps just like this model in a couple of weeks.

My daughter wanted something in her room to get small work outs in when she can't sleep. I figure there are a ton of things she can do and 25lbs per arm is pretty heavy for her current capabilities so there is room to grow. Maybe my 12yo can use them to get some strength training for his water polo program. The bow flex and power block models on SD over the holiday sales were a bit price prohibitive for us. Im in for a set of 2 I'm pretty excited to receive these. Thanks op.

Or you're not using them right. Try doing more reps. I'm an average person to slightly above average build and 25 is more than enough for me for regular workouts. I don't work out to gain mass but to just stay fit

Either you're weak af or don't really want to work out. What is 25lbs going to do? You want strength? Lift heavy. You want mass? Lift heavy. That's it.
Arms can gain a lot of hypertrophy with 50-100 rep work outs just fyi

What different workouts you do with 25 lbs?

I usually just follow peloton videos with my wife. In the videos they usually use 20-25 lbs for their heavy weights. We typically do intermediate level workouts (6-7/10).

My arms feel plenty of burn using 20 lbs

I'd like to get a reasonably priced set of 20-25 lb dumbbells. I'm hearing the ones that go on sale smell really bad
