I bought 3 of these last round. My notes:


This is basically a louder google home mini with a tiny display and not much more. If you go into that with that in mind, you'll be happy.
It displays time and the temperature outside (if you set it as such). Sometimes it'll display a suggestion (and maybe an upcoming event). That's it. I haven't gotten it to say, display the weather forecast all the time.
I've been told the the charging pad kind of sucks, as it's finicky. To be honest, this is my experience with every charging pad I've encountered. Charging stands work a little better in that it's easier to align it the same every time.
The display gets really dark at night. There's a setting to turn it up if you want. No, it is not bright enough to be a problem.
It's a very mediocre (but loud) as a bluetooth speaker... but it's $20, what did you expect? This thing is optimized to speak google assistant replies, and it does that very well.

Turns out I had over $6 in Lenovo rewards which I could apply to this purchase. I have an earlier model, Smart Clock Essential, which leaves a lot to be desired. So hopefully this model will be an improvement. Thanks OP.

Has anyone ever gotten their photo albums to show up on this thing? Could never get that to work. I'd buy more of these of that feature actually worked.

The charging pad is pretty bad on this, fyi it also doesn't get controlled well from google home for some reason. I can't do any of the advanced settings on the one I have like setting the pictures etc.

Anyone know how to add the rewards points to discount the price at checkout? I've got $4, but can't seem to find anyplace where I can deduct my rewards from the total price. Only shows me an "ecoupon or discount code" section on the bottom right of checkout page.

Edit - Had to proceed to final checkout page for rewards to become accessible. Thanks OP!

Can the clock number colors be changed at night mode on these? Got the Echo show 5 to use as a bedroom clock and the night colors are red and are very difficult to see for colorblind people like myself.

Plus all the frickin' notifications and stuff Alexa does is annoying.

I just wanted a good clock to replace the first Lenovo where led segments kept failing. It was great otherwise.

If you are already a rewards member, you might have $15 in rewards from lenovo added in last couple months. Use that and maybe earn some more by simple tasks and surveys to get it below $5 Smilie

It seems like it doesn't do any video, like Nest Camera support. I might get it anyway. It just would have been nice to be able to see who's at my door from my desk without much interaction.
