A common question is, is Plex Pass worth it? Here is a feature overview: https://support.plex.tv/articles/...-overview/
If you use Android try symfonium music player a try. I enjoy the experience more than Plexamp. And for audiobooks the chronicle app.

Took me 10 seconds to get to it. Not even remotely "impossible."
Also not sure what you mean by on-demand music you bought being shuffled with other music. I can stream any music I've bought without other music being put into the stream. I stream any album I've bought with no issue and playlists I've made from albums/songs I've bought play exactly what I want.
I don't like the Amazon Music app much at all, but I don't see anything like you say.

I've always been a fan of hosting all my own media on my NAS and that's why I have Plex w/Plex Pass (purchased years ago at a discount) to begin with. I don't use any streaming services.
Honestly I haven't tried the competitors (jellyfin, emby). But the reason I was pushed to symfonium for my music on Android is because Plex Amp only allows you to download/offline cache up to 24 hours of your music, not all of it. Well, like a good SDer, that's a problem for me because I own weeks of music and I have a BYOP prepaid phone plan where I only pay for limited data (10 GB) as that's all I need. My phone has plenty of storage for caching all my music using wifi. The problem is, Plex's stance is "no one needs to cache more than 24 hours of music; if they want to shuffle their entire library, they can just stream it." This has been their standard response for at least a year or two when the issue is raised on both their forums and reddit. Well, I'm not burning my limited data on that, and I'm on the road using Android Auto all the time. So that left a bad taste in my mouth, and pushed me to paying a few $ for symfonium (which syncs with Plex and lets you cache as much music as you have space for) and which I now find superior to the plexamp app anyway.
