Speed.
I'm looking to replace my boot drive in my laptop, this one is about 1/2 the speed of other gen 3 drives.
it might be fine for a second drive, but there are other options that are close to this price and faster.

I see them pop up on here from time to time.

Is the Kingston (a recent SD) better than this?

Check it out:

Yes, the controller is kinda pokey, but practically, most people won't notice a difference between this drive and faster ones.

The NV2 is a crap shoot. There's three different flavors being sold as the same model. One is better, the other two are not.

Hmm, this triggered my MP3 alert. Still waiting on a deal for a Creative Nomad or something from Rio

No catch, just depends what you are using it for. TG makes specific memory for specific task whether its desktop use, "gaming", and production. For most desktop and gaming use, this will be just fine as I have the 1TB version and its been a year of very good service. As far as production wise(large 4-8k photos and 2-8k videos editing), this is the slower option but TG does offer faster memory. For Price vs Performance vs Durability, TG seems to have the best TBW.

The MP34 is $3 more. Get that one. Faster controller with DRAM.

nvme slots are precious, at this speed it would be almost better to go sata.
