I have a phison S11 ssd that refuses to be detected by USB and will always become unbootable after windows installation. Works fine as a internal storage drive. Another drive that seems to randomly freeze the computer when overloaded.
I had an ADATA failure for a 1TB SSD and their warranty service was outstanding.
I have been gun shy with the OP brand, but if the warranty service is painless and free go for it. Not for a boot drive.
Good prices for portable external storage.

Edit: I plan to use this as an Apple Time Machine backup.
Can't say for sure!

Snarky comment aside any data you do not want to lose you need to back up (i.e. have more than 1 copy).
These are low end but the lower capacities do have TLC nand. They work well for upgrading older machines with spinning drives. I have several 256GB - 1TB I've picked up in the last year or two on deals like this to upgrade 5-10 year old machines.

You really want an enterprise drive with much higher endurance. I went with an old Intel ssd with 16.9PB endurance. I use two 800gb S3610's in my Unraid system.
There are quite a few high endurance ssd's out there. The one in this thread isn't one of them.
