Please note that if you have to warranty this you will need to send it overseas. That is something I wasn't aware and was pointed out by someone on here.

Do they pay for the shipping or is it out of pocket for warranty repair?

You have to pay to ship it but they pay to ship in back. Check on Ups to see what a small box will cost you

Buying chinese tech is becoming an issue. I would say there's a good chance that if there is a problem a year down the road, you'll be out of luck...

major caveat emptor on this one...

That was me…happy to help. I was very tempted…but the reviews and warranty worry me a bit.

Thanks. I don't understand why the SD staff doesn't update these posts to give people a heads up. It's one of those things I know a lot of people would not buy the product if they knew about what they would go through on an RMA.

I am sending back my DDR4 memory to Amazon because of this. I paid an extra $15 to get Corsair instead but of course keep my receipts in case something happens. Sending something via USPA for $8 is a lot cheaper over $50+ to China/Taiwan.

More than that, why do Tech-Tubers continue to allow team group to sponsor them and recommend a product that has a deficient warranty.

SlickDeals probably gets a commission on every link click and sale. It's not in their best interest to discourage buyers.

I have a Team group RMA form in my hand for a 2TB MP33 and it's shipping to Team Group in San Jose, CA.

Your newer review links to a different version and thus a different product. The product in the OP is a TeamGroup MP34, whereas the one in your link is the MP34Q. The Q in the product line denotes QLC. The regular MP34 is TLC.
