Would this be good for a seasoned guitar player looking to improve? Would like to learn some jazz licks or some cool weird oddities..

Edit
I signed up. Good for beginners. Don't see much for advanced players which is unfortunate. Cancelled

While Fender play is good.. I highly recommend checking out Justin Guitar's free beginner courses too if you're brand new.
The fender courses are a bit disjointed I feel. The individual lessons aren't as tied together, and they jump around to different instructors. With Justin's there's a good flow to the lessons, and the consistency of having him as the instructor each time. Plus he gives you more than just 'here's a chord' type instruction. Like general guitar knowledge and beginner specific tips and how to practice, what to practice, etc. I felt that the fender courses aren't quite as cohesive.

Wow! I'm excited to have my first Frontpage deal after years of being here. Note that the second year is also $15. In my screenshot, it shows today's date because I'm a retuning member, so I don't get the 14 day trial added to my day. Glad to bring music into a bunch of lives

Nice! They required I do a 14 day free trial, so my next renewal is Jan 11 for $14.99, and it doesn't show the next year... great, deal, thanks OP!

First off thank you! Second, odd re the 2 charges in the screenshot. I got the annual plan but it starts with a 14 day trial so mine just shows $14.99 due 1/11/23 for the Annual plan. I was worried maybe that means on 2/11/23 another $14.99 might show up but that doesn't make any sense since that would make it a monthly not Annual plan and it clearly says Annual plan but only once for me. Anyway thanks again for posting this.

There's no way to stack two years together for a new account. Isn't it?

Totally insane. I pulled my guitar out after about a 15 year hiatus and put some new strings on it earlier today. I just took a quick break from (badly) noodling around and checked on here hoping for a deal on this service lol! Gotta sign up!

What's the benefit of paying for this instead of using something like Justin guitar for free?

I had it for 3 years billing at $22.50 and now my renewal date in July will be $15. What's the difference between the plans? Sounds like it's the same but cheaper.

LAST PAYMENT
7/25/2022
Annual Pass(PayPal)
$22.49

NEXT PAYMENT
7/25/2023
Play All Access Annual Plan(PayPal)
$14.99

Honestly? But much. Justinguitar is better to progress you linearly from knowing nothing to understanding guitar and playing generally, while Fender Play is more about teaching you how to play a certain song. It's been a couple years since I used FP, so take my words with a grain of salt, but it didn't really move you through a progression of learning like JG did.

Yes, you said what I was trying to say in a much more eloquent manner.

It has an ok library of songs you can get lessons for which is cool. Each level has popular songs to play along with as a "reward". That's about it. $150 a year is crazy. The app is slick and easy to jump around in. The teachers are very corporate and wooden IMO. But for $15 it's worth trying out. I plan on both Justin and this since I think there is probably something to be said for a single teacher. People should definitely try Justin guitar.
