The cheap gaming laptops usually don't have USB-C with power delivery.
Cheap gaming laptops are often louder.
Cheap gaming laptops have lower build quality.
Gaming laptops don't come with Windows Pro.
Gaming laptops in general have worse battery life.
Gaming laptops will weigh 5-6 lbs rather than 3.8.
So if you don't play games, and want something lighter, with longer battery life, more features, and superior screen, then this makes sense.
Otherwise you can give up all of the above in exchange for an RTX 3050.
Not everyone plays games. 🤷🏻

Sometimes HP is weird where you have to log out and log in again. It should say something like "Private store exclusive price" next to the price. If it doesn't, you're not seeing the EPP discount.
You can find login info for various HP EPP programs that places have listed online. Does that work for a random person?
This was $690 during CM for a day or two, even better now.
