I got mine and I'm returning it. It was obviously used. Plastic chipped off in the front. Scratched, dirty, etc. Pathetic

This and the colored ones were on sale for 49 each before Xmas from Amazon. I regretted not picking them up.

IT came up as $79 for me being shipped, but after selecting another color to be able to select stores, I clicked on some other stores around me and found one that had the black one on sale. It seems like it's on sale so long as a Walmart near you has it in stock.

They haven't. Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo all use the same potentiometers in their joysticks (they're made by ALPS). The potentiometers are rated for 2,000,000 cycles, which translates to about 400 hours of gaming. Companies like Sega put hall-effect sensors instead of potentiometers in their sticks 20 years ago, but controllers that basically last a lifetime lead to less controller sales. Every console manufacturer currently has class action lawsuits filled against them because of this planned obsolescence, but they make more money off of new controller sales than they pay in fines and legal fees. So, unless customers stop buying them, we're stuck with controllers that only last a few hundred hours before they end up on the landfill.

With hiw fast these get stick drift, everyone should buy them every few months. Sony doesn't care,sending then in is a pain and costs about 20 bucks.
