300$ might seem cheap for a water heater, but wait till you see how much the power cables cost, per ft. These things are rarely worth it, and they usually only bring the temp up enough to wash your hands

Actually its only $150 for each water heater. Many would need professional install no matter what type is installed.

It needs 3x40A runs using 3x8/2 Romex which is about 2.25$ per foot. And to raise the water temp 65 degrees F, which hot water is 120 F by IRC these days, you only get 2 gallons per minute. Most 1000 sqft homes you might think about using this in, 3x40A=120A which is probably bigger than the panel in your home. You are gonna spend 5000$ installing this 150$ water heater
Says it's 2-40amp.

FWIW I've installed plug-in point-of-use 110v instant heaters (less than $100 each) in bathrooms and they're great so long as you're not running ridiculously high water pressure it gets the water plenty hot within a few seconds. Plenty of GPM for a low flow shower... probably wouldn't impress if you're trying to fill a tub though. So IMHO if you're going instant water.. better to install per use area (ie:bathroom) vs. the whole house. This also provides redundancy and faster time-to-tap response.

This is wrong on so many levels I don't even know where to begin... hire an electrician if you don't know what your talking about but don't start mouthing nonsense here as if you do.

Any particular brand/model/price point you would suggest?

This noname unit works surprisingly well in bathroom sinks and showerhead applications. It's just plug and play into the outlet and connect hoses.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 It's $71 now, I got them for $45 a while back.
Again, mind the flow rate, you can't expect to run an unrestricted showerhead wide open with such a small unit, but a water saver head + this will go forever with hot water.

This sort of setup is very common in Europe (not recommending this exact unit)

I am looking for a small unit to heat the water to our humidifier. I'd like to do one of those, but they seem a bit dodgy. 3000w 25-30 amps showing a 15 amp plug in the pictures....

Did you look at the installation schematic that he posted? If you are going to be pissed off, at least be informative pissed off kind and educate rest on what really needs to be done.
