First deal post so apologies if it's missing something.
Just came back from my local Costco (11232) and took the picture attached.
$5 OFF per package of Kirkland Signature Boneless Lamb Leg (Item #29755) ; no limit?
Valid (12/29/22 - 1/2/23) YMMV, I don't know if this will apply to most other warehouses.

I purchased a lot of boneless leg of lamb at Sam's Club...They are from New Zealand and they are halal too...Only several times we were happy with the taste...Most of the time it has some very bad aftertaste and we would throw it in the garbage...Even when the taste was OK it was not like the taste of lamb that we would buy at local butcher shop but it has taste like older lamb or we say like sheep meat...We do not buy anymore..

Why do none of the Costco's around me have the interesting meat selections? Would love to make some lamb stew
Are you pulling our leg?

Lamb legs have the worst stench when you cook them (BARF)

Why? Not a meat eater? Step aside Bubba. 🙂

How does picking a smaller package reduce price/lb? Isn't the price constant per lb?
A smaller package means the $5 off is amortized on a lower starting point.

So, let's say $7/lb starting price.

$50 leg is 7.14lb @ $7/lb.

$5 off a $50 leg = net $6.30/lb

$5 off 1x$25 leg = $2.85/lb

Technically, in the example, it would be better to buy 2x$25 ones than one $50 one (some slight weight for packaging). I don't think the package sizes vary that much, but two smaller packages would be a lot cheaper.

I saw this in my store while i was using up my reward money from last year by the end of this year. Stocking up on meats. 316.00 out of pocket i paid 34.00. loves my rewards, and costco checks.
Thanks OP
FYI you can get the remainder "check" balance in cash. Useful if you don't want more stuff or use a cash-back credit card there.

This lamb is $3.49/lb maybe 2 or 3 times a year. It's great for roasts but not for curries as I discovered. Once you trim all the fat the meat is very dry even in a sauce. I'm guessing that regular lamb eaters know this. Smilie
What till or the year is that so that I can keep an eye out?

Not a fan of the lamb 95% of the time as it's from Australia. Very rarely have I seen Scotch or American lamb.

We regularly buy this. Last two batch has heavy odour after cooking which means these were not lamb, older sheep. For some people this may be deal breaker.

Agree with this. Also experienced the same with Australian lamb
