I recently finished the DLC endgame with a couple of friends. At this price it's not bad - the expansion provides a little more campaign to play through, as well as a new raid, but the endgame didn't last long for the group I was playing with.
We managed to finish the whole thing on the first try...and then finished it a couple more times after that on separate occasions. We had a pretty good time doing it, but after finishing the final pod mission and then the endgame raid, there's not much else to do besides increase the Apocalypse tier and get more powerful gear.
If you're interestered in playing, ry and play with a full group. The game is much easier and, in my opinion, a lot more fun that way. Having other players provide their buffs/debuffs and do their part to either tank, draw aggro, or deal single target/crowd damage makes a big difference. Once you have a good build set up, the game does a great job of making you feel overpowered. It's a lot easier to get to that point with friends, though.
