Actually the pump is much better in terms of longevity of the cream. You're not dipping your bare finger oils into the jar every time you want to use it. Also, you're not exposing the cream to air and moisture by using the pump and not lifting the lid.

Those who suffer from chronic dry skin or eczema will want the cream vs lotion as the cream is a better barrier for the skin and has less evaporation which equates to less dry skin. The lotions and creams with pumps tend to have more water and alcohol components to thin out the solution so the pump doesn't clog. This has a slightly negative effect on the performance vs a jar style cream or lotion.

These are general terms but I do see an increased ingredients of alcohols in the pump cream vs jar cream as they are generally listed by percent volume in the container.

Hope this helps!

The moisturizing cream is good if you have eczema, although I've never used a jar with a pump on it.

It's useful till the very end. There is a good amount that the pump can't get.

The pump seems to stop working when there's about a quarter left in the jar for me.

While the pumps work well in terms of not getting the oils from your fingers into the jar, there is a lot leftover always. However, this type of jar is probably the best option since you can still reach the leftover lotion. Whereas the other ones you just end up holding it upside down which is a pain, or foregoing 1/3 of the bottle.

Dumb question but to whom does this product target? Is it like a general body lotion for women? Men? I use CeraVe face wash which is great but not familiar with this

For both men and women with very dry skin and/or eczema. Or if you just wanna seriously moisturize your skin. I would say it's mostly for body; it stays too sticky on the face (no pun intended) compared to body lotion.

Dermatologist recommended it for my toddler daughter who had constant eczema. Worked great after going through many other solutions (and hence paid $$ to talk to a dermatologist).

Can the 16 oz pump cap fit on the 19 oz jar? Would like the pump top for the other larger/cheaper jars because I've got a stash of a couple of them.

General body cream or lotion for all. Particularly good for those with eczema and chronic dry skin.
