If the reason is "I own a lot of [M12/M18] batteries and it may be slightly more convenient around the shop" then I'd tap the brakes. These things are underpowered by over half compared to any other plug-in shop vac while costing more even with the hack. The supposed purpose is for contractors on the go who need to clean up after themselves (in general, and in particular at sites that may not have electrical power available). They also chug batteries, in particular if you're moving water. Ultimately for a shop vac more power actually saves time, therefore low power + swapping batteries every 15 minutes is a big time-sink unless you fall into the niche this thing nails.
I'd cross-shop small plug-in shop vacs, and pay particular attention to the CFM (this is 45 CFM and 15 miunute~ runtime per battery). The only thing I know this beats is the Bucket Head, but you can buy 3x Bucket Heads for the cost of one of these and a Bucket Head having nearly unlimited storage capacity because it attaches to standard buckets is a cool (albeit niche) feature that may be a lifesaver in certain circumstances (e.g. disaster recovery).

As long as you regularly maintain/vacuum every so often and don't let it build up, it'll be perfect. I vacuum about once a month.
My 2 year old twins and 4 year old have an impressive ability to make the biggest messes out of the smallest things.
This vacuum is great especially during winter time where you don't want to stand outside in the cold and vacuum. I just turn the heat on and keep the doors closed while I vacuum inside.
Keep in mind I have the 6ah battery. Obviously a smaller battery will get used up much faster.
