Got this for 72 last time this had a hackable deal, this isn't bad but if you're not in a rush, I bet you could catch it down the line for a little more off.
How does it work that you can return a battery that was given to you for free?
What do you do or say when you return a battery?
They allocate a price for the vacuum and the battery. When you return one item, you are not required to return BOTH (Lowe's is like this i believe) but rather you return a single item of the promo deal and they refund the allocated price.
In this case, you pay $149+tax. They allocate $79.86 to the vacuum and $69.14 to the battery. If you return battery, you get the vacuum for $79.86+tax. Not sure where OP got $88 from -- disregard he included tax which you should not do when posting deals.

My bad, it's my first post. I figured people would look at the receipt photos I included and see it's with tax.
(Looking at the post right now, I don't see my receipt photos for some reason)

Lol I wasn't getting on you. Was just doing some math and noted my math didn't correlate. If others are like me, I don't look at any other pictures anyways. You did mention you included tax which is good enough -- i just didn't read that until I typed my message and tried to figure out why we weren't aligned. In general, you don't post after tax because it's so discretionary and everyone has a different tax rate.
Be careful, the partial return "hack" has been known to get people's addresses and accounts banned.
Source: Hi, my address and subsequently my entire account was banned from making online orders because a family member did a hack last year. No, no other shenanigans happened. No, it doesn't make sense. Yes, it was a hassle (and still is).
How does this vacuum compared to their m18 non fuel one, does anyone know? I have that m18 one and when using the 6.0 HO battery pack, it gave decent run time. I'm just wondering how efficient this m12 is with the 5.0 battery pack.

I have used the hack many times without issue. A sample size of one is useless of course. One difference is that I pick up all items and just return the parts I don't want. I have never done the pick up from 2 different locations (which I believe is not possible any more), and just never pick up the unwanted item. Sometimes I do the return same day as pick up, other times I have items shipped and return later. No one has ever given me any issues returning part of my order.
