Have these and using them daily for work. Ive always used the lowest setting and it's bright enough. Battery's life is depending on the settings. On the lowest, 6 hours and it still had 2 battery bars

Your first sentence is true, and a good warning / information to share, but I'm not sure what logic of "superiority" you're using for the second sentence.

There are also AC powered LED lights that would be hard to pass over compared to halogen work lights. There are plenty of bright battery LED powered worklights. This is not one of them, but the only critique would be that the term "work light" is used very vaguely / broadly.

Halogen lights can be cheap and bright, but they also get very hot, and can also be susceptible to bulbs burning out and/or being fragile.

LED lights, e.g.

Can be battery powered or AC powered. They can be very bright or not that bright.

My Home Depot is selling a similar 2 pack of Defiant branded lights for $25 in store. It has the following differences:

2000 lumen each
USB C rechargeable
Magnetic back
USB out (charge phone)

Worth the extra $8 for me. Really like them so far.

Recently had a power outage and found out that we could have used these lights! Placed an order for pickup. Thanks OP!
To me, this is where a these lights are most practical for 95% of the people on SD. Of course, that's assuming you keep them charged, or have a way to do it.

I got a 2 pack of Feit Electric on sale at Costco. They look very similar but are 2,000 lumen. I think $30 for 2. I just looked and no longer on website. Saw them on ebay. They have 3 intensities. Magnetic base. Very long life. And will charge a cell phone, I love them. Prior to that I got a Honeywell light at Sams. Not much light,, Short life. Quit working after 5 mos.

Yep. We have (1) small APC power supply unit right now which is helpful to keep our router going and for recharging phones when the power goes out. Will come in handy if these need to be charged as well!

Personally I use something similar to these [amazon.com]. I always keep a bunch of power banks charged for various purposes, one of which is powering these if there's a power cut.

Just FYI, I was turned off by the microUSB connection and walked into HD this morning to find their Defiant 2,000 Lumen 2-pack with USB Type C charging and power bank functionality for $25.

Large display right by front door.

Anyone use these for working on cars? Seems like work lights that are magnetic or have a hook would be better for auto work, right?

I went in store to find these and found a special buy for 2 Defiant lights that are 2K lumens and USB C input. I liked the idea of brighter lights (4 settings) for about $7 more. Not available online.

Bought both Husky and Defiant.
Defiant is definitely brighter and can be use as power bank.
However, Defiant can't turn on while charging. On the other hand, Husky can be use while charging which is a plus. This means Husky probably still usable as wire once battery goes bad. Not sure if Defiant can do the same.
Not sure which one to keep Smilie

I think this is a great deal, I have one and love it. Only knock is that it's really bright and moving it around I often blind myself.. if you can afford it get one with a little handle on top.
1000 lumens is about a 60 watt bulb.

Just remembered that I have Ryobi lights too. I can change battery for longer output.
