Unless something has changed, the tools themselves are made in Taiwan while the bag is made in China.

I have several Irwin tools and not a big fan. Yes, they were cheap is the reason I bought them and they feel cheap too. Imo spend a little more for quality. I regret it on several projects. Don't get me wrong, they accomplish what I needed out of them.

Good set, I keep them in the car for road fixes if needed.

FWIW I grabbed it for $59 in 2020. Who knows if we'll ever see prices fall like that again.

Great set. I own two (lost one for a while). Anyway, great set, not sure if this is a great price but I use mine all the time.

I have this set as well as several separate Irwin tools. The ones in this kit are generally a bit worse. For example the lineman's pliers in this set have bulkier hand grips and a different design that's worse IMO than the pair I already owned. YMMV.

B.S. ALERT

This set has not cost $175 throughout its entire existence.

The current price is pretty much its median.

I bought this set for my brother in law a couple years ago, and I am very impressed. These really bite hard and hold their biting surface well...

I bought at walmart a year back for $77
I don't feel this is a slick deal, but it is a solid set and gets alot of use.

This is a nice set and covers everything you'll need. BUT, they don't stay in the wrap very well (I flap over the top would have been nice). Also, the elastic bands for keeping it closed don't last very long. The tools themselves are an A+.
