Don't buy one of these unless you plan on using it daily. Tank based inkjets have long tubes to carry the ink and they get clogged if you go too long between uses. If you want low cost prints on demand with minimal maintenance, get a laser printer instead. I bought a tank based printer years ago, and I only need to use it like once a month. Every time I need to use it it requires 30 minutes of manual cleaning to get a usable print quality. In theory you could print something small every day for the sole purpose of keeping it primed... but will you?

Unnecessary. Print a test page a week (set a calendar reminder for every Monday morning like I do) and you'll be fine.

Do some research on these 'tank' types of printers. They sound great, but have hidden means of engineered obsolescence. I learned my lesson the hard way, and now I use a color laser printer.

RickV8290 says it best!!

I have one and have used it for college papers I can go three months on break without using it and it's fine. The great thing is when I do use it the cost for ink is amazing

No ethernet is a no go for me. So dumb that these companies try to save 25 cents by removing the Ethernet port.

Save yourself the endless headaches and get a laser printer. They can last decades and replacement toner is rather cheap.

I got this for my dad and immediately regretted it after setting it up. It doesn't have AirPrint so you have to use their crap app to print anything from iPhone. Also getting the Windows software to connect to the printer was a huge hassle.

have a color laser too. but still there are moments when you need inkjet.
Photo paper and prints is one. Printing on special sticker paper. laser printed items don't laminate as nicely as inkjet printed stickers in my experience. granted sticker printing and photo printing are pretty specific items to print. If i don't want laminated stickers, sure laser is nice. but the waterproof paper is for inkjets.

rear paper tray nicer for craft paper, sticker and label paper. This would prolly be a good craft printer for someone doing many crafts and using it with a cricut or cameo. Could prolly make a lot of copies and prints for school application too.

Could be a cheap sublimation printer if you throw away the regular ink it comes with and load it with sublimation inks instead.
