That really is a good price. The best price I've seen in the past is $169.99.

I like the blue color. I bought a sparkly red one of these used at guitar center a couple of years ago. It was $119 and well worth it. It's really fun to play, and I know it's a bullet, but the tele version seems to be better than thr strats. I've played (in store) made in México and made in usa strats and teles, and I don't really get what the big difference is. This one felt better than some of those. I'm sure the electronics and wood are probably superior in a made in a made in usa tele, but this one sounds pretty nice.

I would probably get at least the affinity series but the contemporary and classic vibe series are GREAT.

You can get an open box for around this price in a higher series most of the time.

Ugh... I was so excited about getting this - but like half the crap I get delivered by way of UPS nowadays, it arrived damaged.

I called in to MF and they were very friendly and helpful - provided me with 2 options, 1 being refund and 2 being 10% off to keep it...

The damage to the body is significant enough, and in an area I'd constantly feel it, that I opted for refund.

Ideally, I wanted to do a 1:1 exchange, but the blue is currently out. The red is in stock, but it's more expensive and, of course, the deal is now dead.

The rep I spoke to said they would do and adjustment to make the red the same price as blue, if I just wanted to call back in once the return is processed - but I'm not holing my breath the next rep I speak to will be as willing to honor it... But I'm going to try, so we shall see...

So tired of getting damaged deliveries from UPS. This thing looked like it had been kicked and thrown a hundred times during transport - which was from a GC store just an hour away. I used to swear by UPS, but things have really gone downhill in my area the last year or so. The amount of crap I have to return now due to damage just feels wasteful. /rant
