$900+ after tax for 1200p, no dGPU (680m is trash compared to any dGPU), extremely slow DDR5, 400 nits, chonky 4lbs, anemic 8 core CPU.

There are way better options in this price point.
Ok buddy, but are they business class.🫢

PayPal offers an extra 10% back in rewards on HP. Not sure if this targeted or available to all. You do need to "save" the offer in your account. Unlike cash back portals, this works on EPP as well, even on the tax portion of your purchase.
Only 5% CB with PayPal for me. But thanks for the tip!

Update: I now see the 10% offer on Paypal, I needed to scroll further down on PP app. Oh well, order cannot be cancelled after one hour of placing it anyway.

If you want battery life get this. The one you posted won't last more than like 2-4 hours off a charge. This will last 10 hrs +

Yes that was one of my concerns. I am assuming this HP has a higher build quality and would last longer as well right?

Do you need to be a member of a particular group for Id.me to get the discount?
No. Mine is generic.

Quote from FabulousBike7431 :
Can't get the discounted price, is there a coupon code?
No coupon code, you have to create a HP EPP account.

Quote from ScarletKestrel780 :
The price shows $1159. Is the offer only for HP Employees?
I'm not an employee, but got the EPP deal. See below.
Quote from abdicatedprince :
Same here. No idea how to avail the offer.
See below.
Quote from TealDesk629 :
what is EPP?
HP Employee Purchase Program. There's several ways you can get it.

UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND TEACHERS
MILITARY, HEALTHCARE, AND FIRST RESPONDERS
BUSINESS

Quote from RoundSparrow :
I can't get the id.me EPP to work.
See below, I'll tell you what I did.

_______________________________________________________

The following two methods is how I got an HP EPP Account. I was able to make an account with both methods. The steps are high level and from my memory, so figure out the missing steps if you get stuck:

1) With id.me

a) Go to https://shop.id.me/stores/2524-hp...se-program
b) Click bottom link: 'Shop Now'
c) Click 'Sign In' and log into id.me
d) It will forward do to HP's site: "HP Employee Purchase Program. Welcome ID.me"
e) Click 'Register'
f) [from memory] create the account and you will get the discounted price after done

2) Without id.me
a) Go to https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/employee
b) Click 'Register'
c) [from memory] Fill in 'First name', 'Last name', 'Email address'
d) [from memory] Leave 'Compnay name' blank
e) [from memory] Fill in 'Company code'
For EXAMPLE:
(personally used these instructions) https://team.georgia.gov/wp-conte...eorgia.pdf
(or try) https://customers.usli.com/sites/...rchase.pdf
f) [from memory] create the account and you will get the discounted price after done

I agree. The 680M is TRASH compared to any dGPU. Except this is not a gaming laptop. It's a business laptop. So a dGPU would be complete TRASH because it's not needed and having one would mean extra weight, extra power draw/shorter battery life.
