This is a pretty good price for the amount of ram and ssd. as well as 4c/8thread performance. It also has two TB ports.

Sad that it has no ram slots. If you want two ram slots for your 2in1, check out the 5300 or 5310 on ebay for not much more or even same price for the 5300 2in1.

Got one from the previous deal.. Other than having Dell replace the battery ( was an easy process ) its been a great basic laptop!

Upgrade to Win 11 Pro was seamless!

This is dead. Please mark it as such to prevent people from ordering with less memory.

I'm getting $178.71 for the 8GB, same specs everything else. Pretty good for a 2-in-1. Win11 compatible too. Ten times better than any Chromebook.

Could you go into detail here? Mine has a rough battery.. it will go from ~60% to dead with any load put on it.

All the 2-in-1 Dell Latitudes have soldered RAM. Not to say it's not upgradeable. It's just harder. There are companies that desolder and solder on more RAM and add the necessary resisters on the board to support the higher RAM. The same goes for soldered-on SSDs like the Macbooks but yea, getting a new laptop ends up being the cheaper route. Cheaper for you, profitable for them.

The laptop versions have upgradeable RAM slots. On one hand people are clamoring for thinner laptops and the other hand was balking at soldered RAM. Dell's CAMM resolves this but still got a lot of pushback.

I did get a 7400 2-in-1 when they had their 40% off last month. "A" grade was extremely excellent. Other than really small scratches around the ports it was brand new with the battery at excellent health. They don't say they replace batteries with new ones like Apple does though. They just say they test.

Why people that copy large data to their local drive shouldn't get a MacBook or laptop w/ soldered SSDs:

I know full well that CPUs have been more than fast enough for most people's needs for years now, in addition to Intel chips barely progressing for what felt like an entire decade. Still, in 2023, buying a refurbished laptop (or SFF like in the other deal) with a processor that came out in 2017, just strikes me as a bad idea, no matter the price. I doubt Dell replaced the batteries or reapplied the thermal paste, besides components just naturally failing after this many years

I have been watching the notifications regarding laptop deals. I am trying to keep within a budget of no more than $350 at most. I need a laptop with camera and microphone so I can do zoom meetings. I would also like a numeric keypad with back lit keyboard and a 14" (minimum) screen. I am not tech savy, but would like to take advantage of the 31% off on the refurbished models. I was going to buy this one, but see that the only one available now is not such a good computer. Any suggestions and/or advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
