DRAM-less QLC SSD. Best used for read-heavy or cold-ish storage workloads. Diff between this and P3 is $25 and pcie 4.0 vs 3.0, which is basically meaningless for this kind of drive.

Interesting, yea I'm sure it works fine. Sony's "official" statement regarding DRAM-less drives:
Do PS5 consoles support Host Memory Buffer?
No. Additionally, M.2 SSD devices that support HMB (Host Memory Buffer) may see slower-than-expected performance because the PS5 does not support HMB.

Much slower nand than the SN850X that was on sale recently for 169.99. If you are only doing quick reads a writes this drive is fine since it has fast cache, but any sustained transfers are going to be super slow in comparison to drives like the SN850x. All depends on what you need.

The Plus technically works in a PS5 so the $25 could mean something for a person looking for a budget PS5 drive

It is, but it will still last most people 10+ years. Keep in mind that's a warranty figure. Real world is likely much higher.

Not doubting you that it works, but PlayStation advises using drives with 5,500MB/S reads or faster. Given the advertised reads on this drive is slightly slower, have you noticed any issues, or differences compared to using the PS5 built-in drive?
