You've done us dirty for too long Dewalt... but in the end, I'm glad they did. I'd have never tried the Bosch if Dewalt still sold the type 20 779.

It's a good saw, but if you use it more than just a couple times a year, there are better saws that are worth the $200+ more. The depth required for this thing is obnoxious, for some people that alone is worth getting higher end models.
Also of note, from what I can find, the only difference between the 779 and the 780 is the shadow line feature. You can get a kit to convert the 779 to the 780 for around $100 from
